Umm...yeah. Its like mario without mushrooms. Or sonic without rings...MK without blood is not MK.

Mushrooms is a signicant part of the mario concept in the same way that Rings are a signicant part of the Sonic concept, without the components that make up various concepts you have nothing to identify with the game , no reason for being interested or remembering the game, to put it simply utter bullSh*t.
