I saw the thread, and the reports are rather inconsistent. Some guys are claiming to have 2 970 and don't run the game, others say they do it with a 670. It seems more like random BS.
I would wait for the reviews (in your case, PC Gamer is a good one to be sure). I saw some Twitch streams of people on PC (with 670 and equivalent GPUs) running the game apparently well. PS4 streamings seems smooth too, so I don't think it will be that much of an issue.
However, I believe that a 660 it's the minimum, if it isn't your case it will probably be a no go.
