Have you tried Vanquish? It's a third person shooter by Mikami that's very fast paced.

I must admit that I did not, but I've been wanting to try it, heard good things about it! If I find it cheap somewhere...

It's one of my favourite games ever. Heck ir maybe best shooter I've played! You should watch some gameplay videos to see if you will like it.
