I get that MMOs are huge games. I get that there are a ton of places, and a ton of things to do. Most MMOs revolve around you being just f***ing awesome. "I'm here to save the world," and all that. So why is it that every MMO I have ever played sends you on the stupidest quests? I'm supposed to be saving the world, so you going to make me go pick some herbs, or kill some boars, or something asinine like that. Why? It's not like you complete the quest and then those herbs transform into a much needed elixer, or the boars you killed were used to craft a new and (at the moment) powerful weapon. They are (to me) stupid quests, and (often) for a small miniscule amount of experience. I would much rather have a quest that says, "Such-and-such person can help you. Find him." And then when you get there he's about to be killed, and then you have to save him or the secrets he hold will die with him, and your world is doomed. That makes sense. I will do that all day. Why do MMOs put us through the stupid quests that have nothing to do with the storyline?
