For me personally I love handhelds, specially when it comes to JRPG and Arcade games. And while you can remote play the PS4 with yhe PlayStation Vita the biggest problem is with the buttons. The Vita just simply doesnt have enough buttons missing the L2, R2, L3, and R3 buttons. These buttons are mapped to the rear tochpad which creates a uncomftorable experience.
Today however I have learned that the Nvidia Shield is capable of streaming PS4 and PC games.

This video is a demonstration of using PS4 Remote Play on the Nvidia Shield portable. You can get the Playstation App from the Google Play store but I believe you can only use Remote Play if you have an Xperia phone. And it has annoying on screen touch controls.
Games demonstrated:
The Last of Us
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Grand Theft Auto 5
Steamworld Dig
Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition

The Modified Remote Play App APK file (with on-screen controls removed) to install on your Shield (or other android device) can be found here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/vv7...
Step 1: Install the official Playstation App from the Google Play store.
Step 2: Make sure you can install APK files from Unknown Sources (non Google Play store). Check your settings on your Android device.
Step 3: Install APK file on your device from the above link.
Step 4: Open the official Playstation App on your device.
Step 5: Choose "Connect to PS4" in the Playstation App.
Step 6: You should see "PS4 Remote Play" on the right. Choose this.
Step 7: If you're setting this up on your Shield portable, Hold the START button on the device, then tap the cloud button and select a pre-made profile. Recommended profile: darrenltw@gmail
Step 8: Control your PS4 and play your games!
Additional information and known issues:
1. You cannot currently sync a Dualshock 4 to this App. It is being worked on. Check XDA's thread on PS4 Remote Play.
2. This whole process is pretty early in development and some control bugs do exist, particularly noticable in CoD. I'm sure that eventually things will be improved!
3. Local experience is vastly better than Remote (over the internet) Remote Play, hopefully the quality will improve but the framerate isn't so good over the internet.
I recommend a Dual band 802.11ac router with a 5GHz channel.
I have this router: http://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Nightha...
It is also recommended that you have your PS4 connected via ethernet NOT WiFi. If you can't connect your PS4 to your router via ethernet. Pick up a powerline adapter which uses the electric wires in your wall to make a wired connection. http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-TL-PA40...
Connect one of the adapters to an outlet close to your router, connect an ethernet from your router to the powerline adapter, then plug the 2nd adapter near your PS4 and connect your PS4 to the adapter. I use a switch so I have my Wii U, PS4, Home Theatre System, Xbox 360 all connected to a powerline adapter + switch. For the Wii U you need a USB to ethernet adapter as well.
Why would you pick Remote Play on the Shield portable over the PS Vita?
- Full size controller
- Ability to set your Shield to a 5GHz channel for great framerates.
- The Shield portable is the ultimate device. Emulators for classic gaming, Stream your PC games, Stream PS4 now, and play any Android games with a controller (use Step 7 to get profiles for most touch screen non controller games)
