People people, this has nothing to do with abandon. They are focusing on all audiences. The reason why the Wii U is selling so low is for 3 reasons
1: Nintendo haters and so called gritty gamers as i call them dont buy a Wii U because they are just simply not interested in there games, they want some FPS game or COD or idk assassins creed wich is for mature people, and mature is cool because thats how they think. Personally we all know they know too little about Wii U's library of games.
2: The so called casual audience has gone over to mobile games or just dont game much anymore. but i really dont think gaming is dead, quite the opposite i think its just gonna grow. Especially now that more and more people are on the internet they find out about gaming. Nintendo is like a cult classic. They do everything in quality and you know you gonna have fun playing nintendo games.
3: The marketing and the Wii U name. Yes marketing is not the best for the Wii U. Hardcore nintendo fans already promote the Wii U through the internet, and I think people who bought the Wii U are gonna deny it was a bad purchase so they tell everyone how good it is, then they become actually interested in more nintendo games and thats how nintendo gains hardcore nintendo fans. Wii U name was maybe sounding like a smart idea,but turned out it wasn't. Nintendo for sure knows this and im 100% sure that for nintendo's next console they have something figured out.
