Actually, it has. The 360 passed the Wii (if I'm not mistaken), but something like that is generally rare. I agree with your bottom line, though. The PS4 will remain ahead in the US. If and when trends start showing a sudden one-sided favoring of the X1, then I think it'll be time to concede. But only then.

The wii is a special case, we all know that, ps4 sales are not going to tank later like wii's did, wii was a different animal, different market.
