So it looks like the X1's baseline will be lower than the PS4's despite having a $50 price advantage. And this is before PS4 begins to have The Order: 1886, Bloodborne, MLB 15: The Show, etc. to temporarily boost sales.

Let me say this before I get charged with something I never said... I own a PS4... my GF is currently sitting next to me, playing Minecraft on said PS4... I actually like my PS4... but if we're going to be honest here, those games are not casual enough to warrant much of a boost if any boost at all. The types of games that really boost consoles are the ones with mass appeal like MK8, Titanfall, Halo, COD... you get the picture.

This whole thing where fanboys are up in arms over the Xbone taking the US, it's nonsense because it's inevitable. I don't think they should be conerned with it. Of course, a fanboy is a fanboy for a reason, and being rational is not one of those, but really, it's stupid. The PS4 is going to win in total WW sales.

Hence why I said "temporarily boost sales". Sales will go up when these games launch and then, gradually fall back to the original baseline. I never claimed that these games will have the same affect as MK8 or COD. I just said that PS4 sales will go up for a short while when its exclusives launch.

The PS4 is outselling the X1 in most retailers in the US despite that it has a $50 price disadvantage. X1 taking the US is not set in stone. As seen last year, winning January to (end of) October was more beneficial than winning November & December. What if the PS4 wins November and December, too? Even if not, what if the PS4 only got outsold by 200K for the holiday season?
