There is NO way that it is that tiny compared to the original. That would just be epic but I doubt it.

You see that? that big chunk of PS4 is the PSU. On the XB1 it makes that power brick that comes with it. The current PS4 can be about 2/3rd its current size if they made that brick external.

Now with manufacturing potentially allowing them to use half as much space for the apu, memory and a smaller fan, then with an external PSU, do you really still think its impossible?

Anyways, if that is really how the PS4 slim looks, that's one stupid fine console.

There was no  node shrink yet. The big manufacturers are still at 28nm there is no 20nm Gpu. The Apu in the PS4 is 28nm all they could currently do is take out the PSU. Which is kinda pointless. If we see 20nm this year its guaranteed that all of the capacities will go to the high end Nvidia AMD Gpus they waited for ages for this node. It wont be really cheaper for Sony to manufacture in 20nm if it arrives this year it wont be a mature node.

If Sony makes a Slim they will only do it if they can build it cheaper then the previous model. Until the 20nm node is mature and cheap we wont see a Slim
