Western developed Games vs. Eastern developed Games (Japanese). Which do you prefer?

Only Japanese Franschise that does it a lot is Konami... other than that name a few more.

Reading is different from viewing Cinematic cut scenes though. Usually JRPGs subsitute cutscenes for reading.

Granted it requires effort, but I rather enjoy it.
