it seems to me like most people who wish to downplay final fantasy are simply resorting to saying that they didn't like the last game so all future games will suck and must take features from xenoblade my point is that this is silly since it has been demonstrated since the beginning that the design philososphy of ff 15 is different to the previous game and therefore for all we know it may even incorporate requested features better than xenoblade... we just do not know |
This isn't about Final Fantasy 15 lacking somehow. I thought this thread was just referring to how Final Fantasy's previous iterations and the original XC can learn from each other moving forward with their new installments. Nobody even knows how these 2 games are going to be when they're released.
And no, your point was not that FFXV is different than past installments so it could be better than Xenoblade; you were trying to compare the sales numbers of a storied franchise to a relatively new IP that was launched at the end of the Wii's lifecycle, as if sales somehow justify their existence or their ability to be good as a game. Games aren't only good if they sell well. There are plenty of games out there that should sell much more, but don't. So please do not try to use numbers like that to knock Xenoblade down, as if that makes it a worse game.
