i honestly feel no handheld will ever out sell its previous generation these days between tablets and smart phones and the fact that parents are buying thier kids smart phones, the market for handhelds has shrunk. i do however believe there will always be a place for them. My thinking on this is the only games i ever play on my smart phone are games that dont require twitch response and/or constant movement, i tried to play GTA3 on my phone and after about 10 minutes i was done with it i just need physical buttons to play games like that. Also i feel for most story driven games are harder to play on a phone for the fact that you dont sit and play them for hours on end on the phone.
