I develop games for a living and my husband designs and manufactures officially licensed gaming peripherals, (both verifiable, feel free to ask a mod), only reason there is no documentation to back up what I say is because without them, it's "speculation" and with them, it's a breach of NDA, and thus our jobs and potential legal turbulance.
And while I'd love to dump a pile of documents in your lap and wipe that smugness of yours, its simply not worth the reprocussions. |
Lotsa people do that. And losta people work in video game retailing. Yet they don't have inside knowledge of Sony/MS/Nintendo's pricing plans. Perhaps you can't furnish actual proof of what you claim, but you can give more evidence of how it is you're a Sony insider than just "me and my hubby work in the gaming biz".
If there is a price cut coming in just a couple of months then it'll be a $50 cut. I don't see Sony going the whole $100 this soon. Probably a good strategy to cut $50 in April/May, and then have plenty of room to do all sorts of specials from Black Friday through to the end of the year. Officially cutting the price by $100 doesn't leave much room for specials and mostly making profit or breaking even on hardware.
