I would streamline the class changes by making them automatic defense boosts at level 20, 40, 60 and 80; the characters' appearances (their armor) would slightly change each time. There's no way to make the Fire Emblem side of such a crossover the dominant force, so it's better to just go with the things that worked in Hyrule Warriors and add a few things that make sense for Fire Emblem. |
I think the perma-death would only work with characters that aren't main characters. Hence the class system.
