That is an absolutely pathetic view of freedom of speech in my opinion.

Fair enough but freedom of speech in its true sense does not exist. For me as long as you have the right to oppose goverment and not live in a dictatorship thats a good part of freedom of speech. 

I agree that opposing the government using speech is very important it is, as you said, one good part of freedom of speech.
