Actually, your desire that the richest and most powerful companies can do whatever they want without any opposition would absolutely rip the heart out of fair capitalism. That's a horrible idea. We have anti-trust laws for extremely good reasons. A monopoly ONLY benefits the company that holds that monopoly. They are bad for consumers and for innovation.
I'd suggest checking out American history for why they are bad but we have another example close at hand--Internet Explorer 6.
