Anyone get the feeling that if Microsoft announced some big games this month for Fall 2008 that they could really push some of the GTA4 "fellowship" their way?
I think a lot of people looking to buy a System just for GTA4 are going to be split between a 360 and a PS3 right now. With the 360 at $350 your getting an established system with a nice game lineup already and a solid upcoming lineup. Whereas with the PS3 their is a bit less of a game catalog, but its fairly comparable, and their are several big Sony titles coming up over the next year and a half, plus Bluray. Also at $400 its priced fairly close.
While I think Microsoft has a nice lineup as of now, if they tossed in a couple more really good gaming properties I think it'd sweeten the deal a lot. More so I think Microsoft should try and "upgrade" most of the remaining xbox holdouts, while at the same time trying to attract more PS2 holdouts.
The games that I'd like to see announced.......new Mech Assault game .........new Crimson Skies game.......and perhaps a Forza expansion or a new Forza game entirely for 2009. Also confirm that UT3 and Timesplitters :) I think Microsoft could build upon some great Xbox properties with established fan bases and concentrate on existing game series rather then new IPs.
