Advanced Warfare was "announced" in sorts a full year before it released.

Teasing the game 10 months before release wouldn't be abnormal.  

Advanced Warfare was announced May 2nd, so May 4th wouldn't be a stretch.

Plus its Treyarch's year.  

Pretty big difference between confirming a next entry (I can confirm the next 3 entries if you'd like) IMO.
