Success in terms of sales? Really? It barely made second place and it lost a lot of sales and market share PS2 had gained.

It made second place despite all the negativity,  bad press and year late launch,  so yes it's a success. 

Additionally the solid support in its later years while support for the wii had been dropped like a hot potato,  and support for the x360 became asthmatic,  aided the strong launch and early success of the ps4.

 

So when will you make a "Is the WiiU a failure?"  click bait thread?  Or is that one too obvious to get away with.

all the bad press, the initial high price and subsequent price drop and HW design all contributes to the failure, whether or Sony managed to turn things around eventually. They made the best of a bad situation, but that doesnt necessarily mean the situation wasnt still sour.

Andthis is certainly NOT a click bait thread! I recent that description. This is a valid and interesting subject to discuss. But yes, a Wii U thread wont be necessary since we ALL know its a failure. Should I make  a Vita thread also? No, of course not, because that might be an even bigger failure than Wii U.
