Today is the 16th anniversary of the Super Smash Bros. series, and with Super Smash Bros. Melee and For Wii U recently announced for EVO 2015, I wanted to know what your favorite game in the Super Smash Bros. franchise is.

My pick would have to be Super Smash Bros. Melee.

While Melee is considered a "fluke" or "accident" for what it is today, the game featured fast-paced gameplay, with many different techiques to learn, including wavedashing, L-canceling, dash dancing, short-hopping, and many more. The game while fairly simple to pick up, is difficult to master, and people still play this game competitively, with the scene continuing to grow.

Melee is also one of the main reasons why the Fire Emblem franchise got released outside of Japan, with the inclusion of characters, Marth and Roy.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
