That is how it appears. I would hope that McCain would be against the Patriot Act (what a misnomer) and actually believes that America should follow the Geneva Convention. There's a lot of other issues where McCain can be a different kind of "Republican", but those issues will be front and center for me.
I doubt I'll vote for McCain (but that's just between me and Diebold) but if McCain wins I believe he'll be the first President with what I perceive as a true sense of duty to America since Jimmy Carter.
