I very much agree with Jim on several points:
- Was never into Evolve simply because I almost never play multiplayer. But maybe I would have taken a chance at the game as it seems very interesting, had it not been all this DLC bull. $15 for one character? Come on!

- I learned my lesson with Season Passes. Got fooled once with LA Noire - bought the game with the season pass, game turned out to be boring and crappy, but I still paid for content 6 months in advance that I then forced myself to play just so "my money doesn't go to waste".
But then Gears 3 came and I said "Hey, I really loved part 2, I might as well buy a Season Pass". And I got screwed again, most of it was uninteresting, but I learned my lesson and didn't even download some of those DLCs - money wasted.
Never again will I buy a Season Pass, screw them. It's not worth it to save $2 now for the content I might play in 6 months - and I don't even know what that content is --- buy two hunters and a monster yet to be determined and available at some random date this year (or next year).

- Convenience rules. I understand there are some hardcore gamers and collectors, but convenience rules for the majority of people. That's why I buy games digitally. That's why I don't pirate NFL games, it is more convenient to pay for them. That's why I do pirate TV series, it is more convenient than dealing with my country's broadcasters.
And having 11 different preorder bonuses, 25 DLCs depending on your geographic location, retailer presence or time of day is just stupid and inconvenient.

I know I will not be buying Evolve for about a year now, and now I'm glad I don't have to be sorry about it.
