lightbleeder said: Well IMO Germany has the strongest economy of all Europe. The scientific research and the level of the industries there is almost unparalleled. You can learn from history that almost every community has been conquered and dominated, but not Germans (with a few exceptions like the Roman Empire (sorry thats wrong... we kicked their asses back to the left side of the Rhine and they never dared to come back... they even build a huge wall called the Limes to keep us away... don´t believe lies from movies such as gladiator :) and of course the World Wars), they don't take shit from anybody. There are two people that I hate that are from Germany, one is Hitler (Austian as Mr.Shine sayed... but then again historically austria has been a part of germany for long periods of time) of course although I admire his military knowledge and I think he would've won WWII if he didn't want to attack England and Russia at the same time (He didn´t want to attack England at all... he hoped that they would stay out of the war...all in all his military campain was very short sighted...still he leared some valuble lessons from WW1 which he fought in) . The other person I hate from Germany is Karl Marx, because I just hate communism (Communism the way it has been practised in countrys like Russia and China have very little to do with the visions of Marx and Engels... they wrote them in a time when the working class where living like slaves and had nothing to say in their countrys, ironically thats the way communist counrtys turned out to be... the complete opposite of Marx`s vision... lots of his theorys about capital and economy are still very important today... he shouldn´t be judged by what other poeple have done with his theorys)!
One last thing: in English you're called Germany, in Spanish you're called Alemania and in German I think you're called Deutschland (don't know if it's spelled correclty). Why are these names so different from each other??? (Historycally we are germanic tribes... which is why the English call us German... we still call them Germanen as well, these tribes where called Alemands by latin speaking countrys which is why the Frenche Spanish and Italians call us that way... the word Deutsch origined from the old germanic laguage and it would be hard to explain here...) |
Very good post... I just added a few things :)
