After Halo came out, most games started to use regenerating health, balanced weapons, limited weapons to carry, button for melees/grenades, vehicles, and more of an emphasis on AI.

You could melee in Doom.
Marathon (also by bungie) had no weapon cycling either
Tribes had shield recharging
Tribes and Deus Ex was the first with expansive environments, though some would argue levels of doom, hexen and duke nukem too.

None of this is innovation.

You need to just stop.

Medal of Honor also had melee.
