I have no problem with you or anyone making valid criticisms of a console or manufacturer, but you're reaching for any little argument you can clutch and trying to work whatever sounds good into a semi-coherent argument. For instance, blaming Skyward Sword's sales strictly on its art style, when it came out at the very end of 2011, an extremely barren year for the Wii (that was pretty much dead in most people's eyes) and requiring the purchase of new hardware (either an add-on for the Wii remote or a new controller entirely), a la Majora's Mask. Whenever games require extra hardware just to play them, it typically hurts their sales. I really should just stop clicking on these types of threads, because most of them are made by people who really don't have the ability to make valid, founded and unbiased complaints that they can express in a consistent and thoughtful manner. |
In my original post, I was going to call the guy out as a hypocrite, too, but the statements I found that I thought were hypocritical actually really weren't. So, thanks for doing it for me.
