Nintendo seems not to get this. And wants me to freakin fucking buy the same game I have on 3DS VC at the Wii U VC.

Nintendo did just announce Mario vs Donkey Kong: Tipping Star will be cross-buy/cross-save for 3DS/Wii U. So they are slowly fixing the situation. I would have to assume this is just the first of many games to use this feature.
