Seriously what is up with gaming journlist this gen. They've been using the same buzz words for almost all games but it just doesn't make much sense. "It's been done before nothing new" - I'm sure it has it's hard to make a completely new experience these days it's not a reason to bash a game. "To linear" - when did linear become bad for every single game out there? I'm not saying all games should be linear but a game being linear does not automatically mean it's bad. RE5 was linear and I really enjoyed that game a lot. One of the few games I enjoyed going through twice.

I don't know man, but it is annoying as all hell. A time where a game like Titanfall (online only with less content than ANY full release shooter on the market) gets a meta of 86, yet a solid single player FPS that delivers like Wolfenstein only gets a 79 is a time period that can't end soon enough.

I think Wolfenstein is overly praised by a lot of people, I bought the game and did not like the weapons, fond the "stealth" overly simplistic... the dialog and story cringe inducing (man that sex scene was horrible)... I prefered Killzone:SF or even Battlefield 4's SP campaign (I don't care much for MP) ... I can see the attraction for some people, but not everyone.
Before you say well it's "old school" I will say, it does nto feel at all like Doom/Quake or Duke Nukem 3D or even half-life/half-life 2.
As for titanfall, well, that had a ton of hype for sure :-/ but I never played it... to me it seems the press was played like a fiddle and they just parked it a couple of points too high in general, probably because they don't have time to play games over long periods of time, so a title that needs dedication to be mastered will not gain anything for it.
