Excellent work with this.

It's pretty amusing that the top two games on Sony consoles ever are both PSP games, and then there's only one other title from PSP on the list - from the same franchise as the top two games.

For a console that sold 20m in Japan, compared to 23m for PS2/20m for PS1, it's actually got a shockingly small amount of million sellers. Just goes to show that one game can make all the difference; but also goes to show that the diversity of a load of other stuff selling 100k-900k can help make up the difference too.

Shows you how much PS3 collapsed too. 10m, but only two games on the list, both of them from franchises that performed stellar numbers in previous gens. The migration of Dragon Quest; absence of Kingdom Hearts/Onimusha and the diminishing sales of things like Gran Turismo/Warriors/Pro Evo really hurt this gen of home consoles.

I'm slightly amused that 4 Vita games got in with PSP games on handheld sales as well. Sadly, I don't think anything else will be joining that list - nothing announed for next year really has the potential to, other than possibly the Saga game.

Anyway, excellent data and very fun to read, thanks.
