I think this applies to pretty much everyone. We've all had one gaming console that we would go to a friend's house to play and wish we had it ourselves, but we never did. For me, that was the GameCube. I grew up as PlayStation child, and I loved my PS2, but something about the GameCube intruiged me. It had a wonderful library, and as a kid, the game that stuck with me was Super Mario Sunshine. I remember going to the doctor's and playing this game with the GameCube in the waiting room and remembering it was unlike anything I'd ever played before.

Today, I still feel the same way about the GameCube. Except now, the game that I desire most for it is Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, which looks to be one of the most fun RPGs I've ever seen. One day I will quit being lazy and I'll track down a GameCube on eBay or something to play this game (too bad it goes for $85 on Amazon now).

What console and game associated with it have you always been fascinated with but never really got a chance to try out?

sunshine hd is going to happen, now that we now galaxy hd is not (released on vc).

mine is also with the gamecube, which i owned but apparently never bought any good games for. the game? f-zero gx. by the end of the 6th gen, that was still for my money the most impressive game i played. no wonder nintendo don't know what to do with the franchise...
