I recently finished Far Cry 4 to a 100% (in game tracking) because I enjoyed the game, not because of trophies (I don't even know if there is a trophy for it). All this dates all the way back to my first X360 game ever - GTA IV. I had no idea there are achievements and what they do. So I start playing - pop pop pop - achievements start unlocking. So I thought it is some kind of reward, I'll get something like a free hat or unlimited ammo or something....and when I found out it is just a number good for nothing, I turned off notifications then and never turned them on again...6 years and counting. |
There are games that reward you for getting achievements though. Dead Rising, for example, unlocking certain achievements grant you in-game items.
