In the US around here... Anything can be big. My super casual Uncle was traditionally PS gamer and stuck with it, even got a PS3 over a 360. My other uncle was hardcore and he had an Xbox but primarily played PC MMOs. PC gaming is big with gamers but most people talk about consoles. Xbox has a lot more advertising at retail, but on TV you mostly see Surface ads and cars... Some of Xbox and some of PS4. I see tons of Call of Duty shirts though.
Even so I hear a lot of people say stuff like "I am going to get a PS4 next month". So it appears to be on peoples minds more.
World of Warcraft had a recent resurgence, may not last long though.
Wii U is liked but people do not want to pay the price for it.
Handhelds are nonexistent, seen more PSPs then anything...
