They hopefully also code very efficiently so there is optimal use of the power they do have. Because it's cheaper to simply get more power into machines than to put effort into efficient and clean code people don't bother.
My friend who did a computer science degree wrote all his own code for projects and assessments, whereas 90% of other students simply copied code from past students. Invariably the code he wrote for which he got As, came in at least 1/3 the length of the recycled code other students would hand in.
