Monster Hunter...why you people like it?

This is probably the only game I ever did a complete 180 on ever. MH4 is probably my most anticipated game for years now, the game IS that addicting, but you need to put some time into it and play online or else you will only come to the same conclusion you  got.

I don't know how many hours of my life were wasted on Monster Hunter Tri, but I can say something for certain: no matter how many chances I gave it, I always came disappointed.

It took me about 8 hours into MH tri to finally get "it" , in that time most games are beaten and over with.

How long did you spend with tri did you play online? Cause to be honest yes single player sucks total balls in MH, I could never see myself being interested in the single player for long ,other than to understand the very very basics of the game.
