Because they sell the vast, vast majority of their copies in Japan, where people prefer playing on handhelds in general; and DEFINITELY prefer playing hunting games on handhelds due to ad-hoc multi-player.

Well I know why they make it on handhelds 1st and foremost, but what I really want is to see more games like this being duo ported to PS4/Vita the same way t's happening with this game.

It doesn't really need to be a complete remake, but as long as these games have stable frames, more enmies on screen and better definition is cool for me already. Of course we won't see these games exclusives to home consoles ever because Japan only buys them on handheld. Only FF type 0 is coming exclusively to home ones.
