From looking at some of the recent footage of it, it looks exactly like the second game, only with a little bit more graphical sharpness. Otherwise, it hasn't really changed at all.. which makes it a perfect candidate for release on a downloadable service instead of marketing it out on physical media. Let's hope the other two versions hit with a budget price too. As much as I liked the Katamari gameplay, if all you're going to do is rehash the same game over and over and change nothing, that doesn't warrant charging full price.
What other two versions? There is a PS3 version...

There'll most likely be a Wii version too, once they figure out what sort of control scheme to use. There was an interview talking about it not too long ago, where the guy was asked about a Wii version, and he said they'd certainly like to work on it, once they figure out the problem of how to use the controller for it. Plus, like I said in the 360 exclusivity thread, Namco would be foolish to reject the biggest market for this game (Japan) by putting it on only the 360, and the game is in no way a graphical powerhouse, so I don't see them NOT making a Wii version considering how much of the this-gen market it controls there. (Or a DS version, even.)
