Meanwhile, if you lose your copy of Batman: The Video Game for the NES... And if it turns out you don't like the game or you don't want it anymore, good luck selling it off or giving it to a friend if you bought it digitally. You're stuck with it. It has no resale value because it cannot be resold. You own nothing. You gave up ownership and first-sale rights when you went digital. Digital is overrated. |
Eh, you have no idea how long Sony and MS will support the PS360 servers. May as well get used to digital it will probably be all there is next gen (besides Nintendo)
I work in IT running a server for old games 10 years from now will not cost that much, because for the most part people do not play games after they get 5+ years old. As I stated you are in more danger of something happening to your physical copy than losing your digital copy. One more thing is disc media is not going to last for forever...... Optical Media was not designed to last for extended periods of time....
