Quite honestly, the situation only changed because Microsoft went for a dramatic price cut heavily bundled and hugely advertised, eating up huge losses and Nintendo was as passive as can be. I dont think there was anything wrong with the predictions at the time this thread was made. We cant predict some things. Could have also happened that Microsoft threw the towel and exited the market.

By the absolute huge margins that the XBox sold Wii U, I think its safe to say it was always going to happen regardless of a price cutt. They were selling neck and neck not long after MK8, so the third party titles we saw in Q3/4 was always going to push Xbox beyond the Wii U.
