City won't screw over NYC FC but they will abuse it. City are under fire from UEFA for spending too much on players, so they are limited from playing these players in European competitions. However, NYC FC will now be 'buying' great players and then just loaning them to City. Great loop-hole.
NYC will benefit from this though.

Villa could have easily improved Spain's chances in last years WC if Del Bosque wasn't so stubborn.
I disagree with Beckham on this. A salary cap is good to allow smaller teams to compete with the bigger ones. It stops the big ones from becoming giants(like Barca and RM in Spain) and provides for more competition. Soccer is still in its infancy in the USA. It needs to be nurtured slowly. Getting rid of the salary cap would be bad IMO as it could lead to fans of smaller clubs getting fed up with their losing. New teams mean die-hard fans haven't been born into MLS yet so there won't be many people watching constant defeats.
