The Wii U still has the potential to reach a broader audience. Its lineup this year doesn't have heavy hitters like Smash and Mario Kart 8, but games like Splatoon, Giant Robo, and Mario Maker are games that *could* garner attention for being something unique. It's possible one of them could catch on (assuming they've progressed from their E3 forms).
That being said, it's more likely that the XBone will stay ahead.
