PS3 never really sold poorly, it just came out later than the X360. I believe it consistently outsold the 360 once it hit the $400 price point. Sony has a much larger fanbase than Nintendo as well. That fanbase waited on lower price points. PS4 sales would not be so impressive if the PS3 launched at $400/$300 like Xbox did.
Nintendo did something to piss off 3rd parties, to the point that they started abandoning the company during the GC years. Most can agree that most 3rd parties didnt try with the Wii and they certainly didnt try with the U.
Sony and MS owners are more likely to buy broken shit games in larger numbers and the Nintendo fanbase usually avoids that.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
