If the game costs more than 1% of your monthly disposable income it's IMO justified (so if you make under 6,000 a month). There are more important things to spend the money on, but people should still have the right to enjoy themselves.

You should go steal a f*cking porsche. Thats over 1% of your monthly income. There are more important things to spend the money on, but people have the right to enjoy themselves.

I really think your post was trolling... you basically said anything that costs more than 1% of your monthly income should be stolen just so you can enjoy yourself. That is by far the most hedonist thing i have personally witnessed someone ever saying.

A porche is actuall a physical object and every car costs a huge amount to produce. By stealing it you're actually forcing the car maker in to a loss. It's the equivalent of robbing someones home. You're taking away. With games each digital copy costs virtually nothing to produce so you're not really stealing, theres no net loss. You're simply enjoying a copy for free. If you have a significant disposable income I believe you should pay for it if the game is good, because there is talent and work that goes in to development that you want to reward. But it's not stealing if you pirate because it's just some duplicate code that doesn't cause a net loss or net gain to the publisher. This applies to all software.
