Man there really is a LOT of hate on Vita from Nintendo fans.
The funny part being, they're pretty much using a reworded argument that they complain PlayStation/Xbox gamers use against Nintendo software.
Vita has a very set audience in Japan, the games coming to it will make money based on the expectations set. Increased power will certainly be a factor, I know if I was a developer I'd want to work with more horsepower.
There is also the other aspect, Vita owners are a lot more active in buying software than usual with a system. 3DS owners know more what they bought the console for and seem to stick to that, hence the insane sales figures for select franchises. However the niche stuff, the Vita versions seem to perform on par or better than they do on 3DS when there is a dual format release.
This constant trashing anything coming to Vita is really getting tiresome on this forum now though. It's a great system with some fantastic games. I'd say it's a much better system in every way than the 3DS, for my gaming tastes but I'm not going to poopoo the 3DS at every opportunity like a lot of people constantly do to Vita. Come on guys, you've had some great years for software, you're better than this.
