BA BOW. Sorry Microsoft, until 65nm you aint getting my $$$
Seriously some current affairs shows should start doing stories.

Who says the 65nm 360 will be any better ? its not liek they have said that swiching to smaller chips will solve the issue.

You should look it up then.

I'll help.  the problem with 360's is that components over heat, the gpu is often involved.  smaller chips are useful for two reasons.  they are smaller so they get the same amount of power in a smaller space meaning better efficiency (less energy used), with energy equating to heat.  the other reason is the size itself.  on chips the electricity moves from place to place.  since they arent superconductors some electricityis lost.  the lost electricity is energy which turns into heat. on smaller chips they travel less so less is lost (often on the scale of 100-1000 times less).

on a side note, when they shrink the chips they change the chip.  the changes usually result in more reliable and effiecient chips.  companies need to compete so when they change a chip they make it better.  this should still aply to the 360 since it means more reliable hardware and less worries for ms.
