In an industry dominated by shooters and cinematic games, Nintendo say "hey let's make a puzzle game in a small rubiks cube type maze".They have the confidence to create such game, and the ability to make it instantly enjoyable. Even a budget title like CT has such a high level of polish. |
It's not so much they're the only complany that could make it. There are a fair few other developers out there that could make games like this.
Where Nintendo have the edge, they're the only publisher that can sell this type of game on the scale needed to make it viable as a full physical retail release.
