Titles that didn't make the charts:
A bit of commentary on titles that didn't manage to make the charts - thought it would be a nice way to finish this analysis off.
It should be noted that because of the "vote for 5 titles only" rule, many titles that would be bought have not been listed. So congrats on any title that managed to make the charts.
Notable titles that just missed out:
- Mario Party 8: Just missed out on both charts. Recent sales figures have shown just how popular this game is.
- Little Big Planet: Also just missed out (6 votes). No doubt will be huge when it comes out.
- Mario Strikers: Notable mention, considering it has already been released in Europe.
- Madden: Scored a few votes, and will no doubt be a "must buy" for millions of fans.
Notable titles that flunked:
- Devil May Cry: For all the uproar about cross-platform support, this isn't on the radar of many people.
- Soul Calibre Legends: Also not on many radars. Maybe when more information is released?
- Forza: With three votes of '1', doesn't seem to be regarded as the GT for the 360 after all. Or maybe games have had enough of racers for now? Recent sales have been reasonable though.
- Team Fortress 2: With 3 votes, its not exactly setting the world on fire. More relevant for PC games you could think.
- Mario & Sonic (at Olympics): One vote of '1'. Wow ;). I think everyone is waiting to see some more media on this, before elevating it on their list.
- Guitar Hero 3: Have people had enough of Guitar Hero games for now? Just how well will "sequals" sell?
...
And with that... my analysis is over :)
Considering another voting thread (either handheld, or open) - but later on.
