It is pretty good.

Although this bit is a load of crap. 'If even Sony can’t comprehend why their system is selling so well, I’m not going to pretend like I have all the answers. To some extent, it does defy logic.'
It is obvious why it is selling so well. It gives gamers exactly what they wanted, it really is that simple.

Agreed on the defy logic comment, but he nailed it when he talked about it being a game system first and foremost vs the more gimmicky aspects of the wii-u controller and the xbox kinect launch forced bundle.

How are the U and X1 less of a gaming system than the PS4? In no way does kinect or the game pad mean not gaming first.

The article explores that more in depth, but if you want the basic cliff notes the ps4 was going by the "if its not broken dont fix it" strategy.  Where as the xbox was trying to force kinect down peoples throat at a much higher price point for a feature most xbox gamers didnt want in the first place, and as  far as the wii-u is concerned it was using a gimmicky controler to differentiate it from the pack, but that only served to alienate core gamers who were used to a more traditional controller making it less appealing to the mainstream.

Then the article is nonsense because none of this makes the PS4 a more gaming system. And the U pad is so far from a gimmick that it's ridiculous.  People throw the "g" word around like it's nothing. The game pad has more than proven it's viability for gaming.
