@disgaea, hey the series has been increasing in strength at every release and this is the first one in 4 years where previously it was 1-2 year hiatuses. Popularity has grown in America as well. It all depends on how good the game is.

Yeah but it will easily do a million through digital. Sony will even tell us how much it sold. I expect it to be like on ps3 where it was the top download for the majority of the ps3 life.

@Disgaea: nope, we had Disgaea D2 in 2013. So it's 2 years, and the most common time between games are 2-3 years.

Disgaea came in 2003, Disgaea 2 in 2006, Disgaea 3 in 2008, Disgaea 4 in 2011, Disgaea D2 in 2013, and now Disgaea 5 in 2015.

And I think D2 did not very good.

 

@FF7: weren't you using VGC to count the 26 games? Including Digital we would have several others at 1M that won't hit it here.

Diablo 3 may be over 1M already with digital sales.

Im only trying to use confirmable numbers. We will likely see confirmation on ff7 when it hits. We did on ps3
