I picked up PS1 because I wanted Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style. Not a good game but was (and still am) a huge Wu-Tang fan. It is the only game I've ever owned for PSOne and consider PS1 to be the worse game system ever. Hence why I've only owned 1 game (and yes I've played many others on my friends' PSOnes). But while the PS2 craze was still at its height, my older brother (may he R.I.P. - He passed away 10/30/14 at the young age of 33) surprised me with a PS2 for Christmas. That's when I switched to PS over Nintendo. Summoner 2 and Dark Cloud are the major reasons for my change. I was such a Nintendo fanboy up until that console. I was actually upset that PS2 was getting so much attention over N64. I can honestly say now that the only console I'd never own is a Nintendo console. It has changed, and not for the better IMO. |
No you changed Nintendo is still the same only better! I buy just about any console released and can say much of sonys praise comes from 3rd party support and as each generation comes and goes 3rd party support has become less exclusive. Many gamers are sony fans because of the 3rd party monopoly that the ps2 had but last gen xbox360/pc killed that monopoly forever. With out 3rd party games sony doesn't have a whole lot to offer. Many sony fans would be just fine with the xbox brand if they let there loyalty gaurd down and opened there eyes the library of titles are almost identical . People who shut out nintendo due to system loyalty are missing out of some of the best games out there.
