Gameplay wise: tomb raider 2013 hands , however playing the original tr its feels nothing like it , but like an uncharted clone , uncharted gameplay has its own identity , tr 2013 took way too much of it and lost its own, there aren't puzzles to be found in the main story. Traditionally Tomb Raider isn't cinematic it is puzzle and action explorer game focused on tomb raiding , uncharted is an action focused , with some puzzling , in tr 2013 tomb raiding and exploration are afterthought, uncharted platforming isn't the best but still much better than TR 2013 for me. MULTIPLAYER : TR 2013 Multiplayer is really bad Uncharted 2 & 3 sh!t on it . The Writing and Characterization , hands down Uncharted , its too terrible in TR 2013. The stereotypical characters are laughable - spiritual native american, angry black woman, white humorous young dude, unethical scientist guy, drunk Irish guy, big dude who fishes and works on the ship... called Jonah etc. Is it just me or was Alex's death the most funniest thing ever? "I wanted to impress you Laura. I JUST WANTED YOU TO LIKE ME!!" The writing around lara sometimes: "LARA. YOU'RE A STRONG WOMAN. BE STRONG. STRONG" "LARA, YOU'RE A WOMAN AND ARE STRONG. BE A WOMAN. BE STRONG!" "LARA, YOU CAN DO THIS YOU'RE A WOMAN!!!!!" Like, I get it, Lara is a woman, and she's strong. You don't need to remind me via dialogue every 5 seconds, especially while she's going through some of that VERY rough shit at the beginning. "I cant shoot someone" 5 minutes later - Killed 1000 guys Rambo style. sure drake kills alot but his character dev doesn't revolve around it , lara went on and on about the deer and the 1st guy she killed , it went 0 to 100 real quick , too fvcking quick Graphics :Personally I'd say Uncharted for its time was more impressive but TR is has better graphics so I'd go with TR Level Design : Uncharted 3 for me beats TR hands down , TR has good level design too IMO now before you tell me it's a thrill ride it's a game, TR 2013 was narrative focused , and the narrative was really really poor, I enjoyed it but for me the uncharted series is superior. I enjoyed both for very different reasons and think both could learn from the other. I would give the edge to Uncharted though as had more moments that stuck with me.
