| Goodlife said: Any country you live in is shit or any country you live in is ok. Just depends on how you look at it. What annoys me, lots, is how people go on holidays / traveling to wherever and then declare how much better that country is to their home. Of course it flipping is going to be, you're on holiday, you don't have to put up with the trails and tribulations of every day life. Me, I think Britain's got some strong point (and some very strong points) and some weak points (and some very weak points) There is no reason for me to move, at the moment, nor is there any reason for me to stay, if something (i.e. job) comes up somewhere else. Also, what annoys me is when people say "the countries gone to the dogs" Like hell it has. Unemployment low, very low in fact, government spending in the public sector high. The "it's gone to the dogs" would be fair enough if we were all out of work and living in squaller, but we are not, so stop being so tabliod about it. |
Thanks, the most sensible post so far. Seriously, everyone in this country seems to think that it's the worst place in the world to live, it's simply not true.
Obviously the British media and it's fixation on everything bad that happens has brainwashed a lot of people.
I love Britain, apart from the Chavs (who you can easily move away from if you have any aspirations in life)
